What applies to everyone
- Free, mandatory e-Ticket at eticket.migracion.gob.do, on arrival and on departure. Do not pay sites that charge for it.
- Passport. The general rule is six months of validity. Until December 31, 2026, citizens of the US, Canada, the UK, the EU, Brazil, Chile, Argentina, Colombia and Ecuador only need it valid for the whole stay.
- Most visitors arriving by air do not need a visa. A valid US, Canadian, UK or Schengen visa or residence permit lets you in whatever your nationality.
- The Dominican Republic is on Atlantic Standard Time (UTC-4) all year, with no daylight saving.

What do I need to enter the Dominican Republic?
A valid passport, the free e-Ticket completed at eticket.migracion.gob.do, a return or onward ticket and proof of enough funds for your stay. Most visitors arriving by air do not need a visa.
Can I enter with a US, Canadian, UK or Schengen visa?
Yes. According to the official Dominican tourism site, anyone with a valid visa or residence from those countries can visit, whatever their nationality.
